More about me

My name is Emma Gold, I have been a career-nanny for the last five years in Victoria, British Columbia. Before nannying, I worked in daycare, and I have a Diploma in Early Childhood Development from The University of British Columbia. I use an empathy-based approach to childcare, and have experience working with children in need of extra support. I am a fierce ally of the LGBTQIA community, all love is celebrated in this house.

In June 2025, I assisted with childcare at a friend-of-a-friend’s wedding, and had the best experience. Not only did the littles have a wonderful time, but I received continuous positive feedback from the grown-up guests as well! I was inspired to fill the wedding-nanny niche in the Vancouver Island & Greater Vancouver area.

  • Emma is a long time nanny for my Maid of Honour, so she was an obvious choice to reach out to for wedding help. We wanted a very kid friendly wedding and had babies to teens. Emma organized a dedicated kid friendly area and was there to help wrangle amongst the chaos. She supported our vision and knocked it out of the park!

  • Our time with Emma was the best childcare we ever experienced. Emma was fun, loving, and patient and he was happy every day as a result. They would go on forest adventures, beach days, etc. he was allowed to be free and adventurous while she made sure he was safe. Emma takes a gentle parenting approach and is an expert at dealing with toddler behaviours. Anyone would be very lucky to have her care for their child. I can’t recommend her enough.
